Drum Making Workshop
Dive into the captivating world of percussion as you’re guided through the ancient art of drum creation. Whether you're a seasoned musician or a curious novice, this workshop offers a hands-on experience in crafting your very own drum. By the end of the session, not only will you have created a unique instrument, but you'll also carry with you the unforgettable joy of making music from scratch. Join us for an enchanting journey that beats to your own drum!
We have many different types of animal hides to choose from, goat, water buffalo, bull, cow, horse and camel. Each hide is unique and one-of-a-kind. Workshops will range from 6-10 participants and will last 4-5 hours. Included in the cost is the drum making ceremony, an 18’’ hoop and the rawhide lacing. You will leave with a finished product. Please bring your own stick to make a drum beater. If you are attending a date with a sweat lodge ceremony please add an additional $50 to your drum cost.

How do I sign up
Decide which animal hide is calling to you. (Please keep in mind there are a lot of people interested in making a drum and these are all one-of-a-kind. I recommend choosing your top 3 and checking with me to see what’s available. I will try to mark them as sold here once I know.)
Send a text message to 801.362.9129 with your choice of hide ( I would send your top 3 just to be safe) and what date(s) of workshop you can attend. I can verify if one of those hides are still available and I will check on the date to make sure we’re not full. If you decided to move forward, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required and goes towards your cost. Text messages will be responded to on a first send basis.
